Bible in 90 Days: Evil Kings

I'm Livin' My Dream

I have finished reading 1 and 2 Kings — I stayed up late last night reading.  Reading the books of Kings is like riding on a roller coaster.  As soon as you think things are improving the downhill comes again.  Nevertheless, I found myself unable to put the book down because I want to get to the good part.  Never mind that I still have to read over half of the Old Testament to get there!  Talk about building to a climax…  Having never read the Bible at such a dramatic pace before it has just occured to me what a good read it is.

I’ve been wondering.  If I keep reading the Bible over and over every 90 days do you think I will eventually have entire sections memorized?  I know most people do the Bible in 90 Days one or two times and then start going through smaller sections more in depth.  I am really enjoying this pace right now.

What do you think?

Kings is definitely a roller coaster. Good king, bad king, worse king, good king… I am finding that I don’t necessarily have things memorized word for word, but I can recall exactly where things happened and the chronology of events after doing this several times now.
